Does your child struggle with navigating social situations, understanding emotions, or building friendships? The Secret Agent Society (SAS) is here to help! This award-winning program is a fun, espionage-themed approach designed to teach 8–12-year-olds essential social and emotional skills in an engaging, evidence-based way.


ONLINE  and IN PERSON Programs available.

We offer ONLINE programs so that families from anywhere in Australia, including remote regions can access evidence based social skills support.

What Your Child Will Learn

Through the SAS program, your child will master essential life skills, including how to:

By the end of the program, they’ll graduate as confident “Secret Agents,” ready to tackle the complexities of social interactions.


Program Details

Runs for 9 weeks + 2 booster sessions at 3 and 6 months

Location: Grampians Clinical and Child Psychology, 145 Baillie Street, Horsham

Child Sessions: Weekly 90-minute child sessions Tuesdays 1.30-3pm

Parent Sessions: Weekly 45-minute online sessions for parents Fridays 12-12.45pm

Small Group Sizes: Maximum of 4 children per facilitator for personalized support

Cost: Weekly cost between $336.18 (maximum cost) and $254.24 (minimum cost) + $200 software fee. Final cost depends on number of participants enrolled. Discounted cost available for families with no funding assistance, please ask.

These costs include all weekly child sessions, weekly parent sessions, weekly teacher feedback.

This program is designed for children aged 8–12 with good verbal skills who are motivated to learn and practice social skills in a supportive group setting.

PEERS Social Skills for Teens and Young Adults
​An award winning program to help teens and young adults to develop their social and emotional skills

About the PEERS Program

The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) is an evidence-based, parent-assisted social skills program designed for teens and young adults who would like to improve their skills in making and keeping friends. Originally developed for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), PEERS® has also been successfully used with students with Intellectual Disabilities (ID), ADHD, and other social-emotional challenges such as anxiety and depression. It offers practical tools that promote meaningful peer connections. Download our information flyer here


Target Skills

The program is intended for teens and young adults - focusing on skills related to:

 

- making and keeping friends

- developing romantic relationships

- dating 

- managing conflict and rejection 

- starting and maintaining conversations

- finding a source of friends

- electronic forms of communication

- entering and exiting conversations


Parent/Carer Involvement

The PEERS program is designed for a social coach (parent, mentor, support worker) to attend a  90 minute 'social coach' session at the same time that the young person attends their own 90 minute session. This means that both young person and social coach are learning the same skills and working together on the same goals to generalise learning at home and in the community. 

There is the  option of the young person only to attend without a social coach if preferred.


Program Details

Duration: 16 weeks 

Frequency: Weekly 90-minute sessions for the young person (and for the social coach if this option is chosen).

Days: Tuesday 4-5.30pm

Next group starts Tuesday 27th May 2025


Cost:

Option 1 (young person and social coach attend sessions) $353 per week

Option 2 (only young person attends sessions) $223 per week

​Cool Kids

A CBT Anxiety Program for Children Aged 7–12

Helping children and parents manage anxiety with evidence-based strategies.

About the Cool Kids Program

Developed by researchers at the Anxiety Research Unit at Macquarie University, Cool Kids is an evidence-based group program that uses cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) to help children and their parents better manage anxiety. Studies show that most children who complete the program experience significant improvements in anxiety even six months after finishing. Download our information sheet here

Who is this Program For?

Cool Kids is designed for children aged 7–12 who experience anxiety, including:

•Generalized anxiety

•Separation anxiety

•School anxiety


What Will Your Child Learn?

Throughout the program, children will gain skills in:

•Understanding and managing feelings and anxiety

•Realistic thinking through “detective thinking” techniques

•Overcoming fears step by step (stepladders)

•Problem-solving and assertiveness

•Handling teasing and building confidence


Parent Involvement

Parents receive a comprehensive workbook to learn the skills their children are mastering and how to support them effectively at home.


Program Details

Duration: 10 weeks (school term)

Frequency: Weekly 1-hour sessions

Brick Club
A Lego Based Social skills and Friendship Group

About the Brick Club Program

Brick Club is an ongoing social and friendship skills program for primary aged children. Each 1-hour session will focus on a specific social skill, using Lego-based activities to reinforce these skills. This curriculum uses hands-on activities explicit teaching, modelling and support to develop social skills in a fun, engaging way through LEGO-based teamwork and individual challenges. Children aged 6-12 who are able to work in a group setting with guidance. Best outcomes will be achieved for children who are motivated to practice a range of social skills.

Social Scribbles
​An Art Based Social skills and Friendship Group

About the Social Scribbles Program

Social Scribbles is a social and friendship skills program for primary aged children. Each 1-hour session will focus on a specific social skill, using art-based activities to reinforce these skills. This curriculum uses hands-on activities explicit teaching, modelling and support to develop social skills in a fun, engaging way through art-based teamwork and activities. Children can sign up for a term at a time, and most stay on for multiple terms as long term members Download our parent information flyer here
